The Ottawa Sport & Social
Club (OSSC) is the largest multi-sport provider in the city, which recently
expanded to Kingston with the Kingston Sport & Social Club (KSSC). Both
organizations create, organize and manage sports leagues, tournaments and
special events for adults in their respective cities. This position is
based out of the OSSC office in downtown Ottawa, however the role will carry
some responsibility for KSSC.

1.
League
Facilitator (Full-Time Position)
JOB DESCRIPTION
This is a unique opportunity to join a small, successful business. You will
wear many hats, as you develop and broaden your skill set.
·
Primary
contact for customer service via phone, email, website and in-person.
·
Maintain
roster, schedules, standings, policies and other league documents.
·
Process member
registrations and payments.
·
Update website
with current information.
·
Oversee
day-to-day league operations.
·
Input and
track facility permits.
·
Organize
tournaments, and host on rotational basis.
·
Cover Event
Coordinator evening shifts, as required from time to time.
·
Other projects
and duties as required from time to time.
UNIQUE WORKING HOURS
·
Typically
Monday-Friday 9:30am to 5:30pm.
·
Some weeknight
work will be expected, as the majority of our programs take place at that
time.
·
Rotating
Saturdays to be shared with other staff members for tournaments and events.
QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS
·
Athletic and
sports-minded. Knowledge and passion for multiple sports.
·
University or
College Degree. Sports Administration, Business or Marketing is an asset.
·
You are
positive, enthusiastic and have an endless supply of energy.
·
Ability to
deliver superior customer service.
·
Strengths in
planning, problem solving and decision-making.
·
You enjoy
working with numbers and your attention to detail is high.
·
An
entrepreneurial spirit in terms of both creativity and work ethic. You are
willing to take chances, and let your results do the speaking.

Strong
computer skills and the ability to learn new things quickly.
· Capacity
to manage multiple simultaneous priorities, and work at intense pace.
Multi-tasking is essential.

A valid
driver’s license.

2. Event Coordinator
(Part-time Evening Position)
OSSC is looking for social and responsible people to work in the evenings
setting up equipment and overseeing leagues. Must commit for an entire
season - be it Spring, Summer, Fall or Winter. Available shifts are Monday to Sunday ... pick the
night you wish to work. Great opportunity to make some $, while
meeting fun people in the league. No experience required.
