As of November 16, 2001, the UPA (Ultimate
Players Association) passed a new edition of rules into existence.
The following are the three main areas which OSSC will focus on.
-
An in-bounds pull that lands in
the endzone cannot be walked up to the endzone line: it must be played
from wherever it lands or is caught.
-
A 10-yard brick is now
standard for pulls that go through the end-zone and land out-of-bounds.
PLEASE NOTE: The UPA rules read "20-yards" for
the brick. For OSSC 5-on-5, the brick is 10 yards due to the
smaller fields.
-
You must be within 3 metres of your mark to call a
pick.
We encourage everyone to familiarize themselves with all of
the changes.
